A Missed Friend

The first time working with George he never had anything to say but listen
After getting to know him a while and talking about his family, his eyes would glisten
Moved from Jersey to Vermont and learning to drive these winter icy roads, he had no fear
Untill one early morning driving to work, he hit his first deer
He enjoyed his work and meeting people and despised being on call
Winter months he would grumble but didn,t mind summer or fall
A very proud man for what he had accomplished over the years with his life
It's sad that his life had ended and left behind his friends, family and his wife

May God Be With You "George "

  1. I remember loading the U-Haul and driving with him up too Vermont. Crossing the state line into Vermont he never looked back. I was impressed when he took a job at Pratts as a serviceman doing the on-call work in my mind reserved for others much younger than he. After taking the position of parts guy he and I often had discussions about his job and he was always looking for ways to improve the process at Pratts. i'm sure he will be missed by all he worked with over the years.
